About Sean Powers

Born July 9th, 1986, Sean Powers grew up as the youngest of five children — a position in the family that, by all accounts, shaped the competitive spirit and determination that would come to define his remarkable career.

Sean’s formative years were spent at Marmion Academy, a prestigious all-boys preparatory school in Aurora, Illinois. There, he committed four years to the varsity soccer program, honing not only his athletic abilities but also the discipline and teamwork that would serve him throughout his life. His connection to Marmion ran so deep that even after earning his college degree, he returned to the Academy as Assistant Coach to the Varsity Soccer team — giving back to the program that had helped shape him.

Sean went on to attend the University of Denver, where he earned a degree in Business Administration. But rather than heading straight into a corporate career, he chose a path far less traveled.

Following graduation, Sean dedicated a year to coaching soccer at Marmion Academy and assisting with youth development camps. It was a decision that spoke volumes about his character — a young man with a business degree who chose service and mentorship first.

Hungry for more than a traditional career trajectory, Sean accepted an internship at EAFIT University in Medellín, Colombia. The experience proved transformative. Immersed in Colombian culture and the rhythms of Latin American life, Sean used the opportunity to perfect his Spanish — emerging from the experience fully bilingual, a skill that would open doors across two hemispheres in the years ahead.

From Colombia, Sean made his way to Wichita Falls, Texas, where he joined the operations of PowerSeal Pipeline Products — not from behind a desk, but on the factory floor and out in the field.

For two years, Sean worked in the company’s manufacturing facility and alongside field crews, performing real pipeline installations with his own hands. He was never the type to observe from the sidelines. Colleagues would tell you: Sean was always the first one willing to climb down into the hole and do the work alongside the crew. That willingness to roll up his sleeves and get dirty earned him a respect that no business degree alone ever could.
